Kingdom Quest

Shepherding our children with the love of God

Kingdom Quest is our Sunday school program for children, but it is so much more.  While it brings our youngest members to fullness of life in Jesus, it also gives them knowledge of the Great Commission.  Our children are learning to disciple each other!  They are learning to disciple us!  They are learning to disciple all those they meet!

Kingdom Quest was created ten years ago by Dr. Roger Theimer, a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod minister who is the children’s pastor at King of Kings Church in Omaha, Nebraska.  Their Sunday school classes swelled rapidly from 350 children to over 700 after putting Kingdom Quest into place.  Kingdom Quest is having a similar impact upon other churches throughout the United States and Canada.

This is the Kingdom Quest statement of faith:

“The curriculum is Bible-based, believing that God’s word is inspired and true.  The main purpose of the Bible is more than to give us a standard of living; it leads us into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  In that relationship, we meet him as Savior and experience him as Lord.  We are reconciled with the Father and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Through the Holy Spirit, we have the presence of Jesus in our lives and the power to live out our Christian faith.” (http://www.kidskountpublishing.com/about.php)

Sunday mornings consist of time in a classroom and time with the puppet ministry.  It is an interactive way of reaching our children in all ways possible.

Kingdom Quest is an exciting ministry of Our Savior's and all children preschool through Junior High will be welcomed with open arms.  Enroll your child now.  Know that your child will be loved and ministered to with the love and joy of our God.  Do not let your child miss out.  And remember your neighbors!  Spread the word!

Come and be a part of this amazing ministry.  Shepherds (formerly called teachers) are needed to lead our children to the Lord.  A special events coordinator is needed.  A communications person would be helpful and even just someone to bag the popcorn for the puppet shows would be most appreciated!  Be part of the team of those ministering our most precious little ones.

Tom Langlois is our very dedicated leader and may be reached at 393-4563.  He will be most happy to talk with you.
