Each of us here at Our Savior's Lutheran Church has a responsibility to give of our talents in order that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would be glorified and so that His kingdom would be increased.

Agape Ministry

Ministry Head: (vacant)
Mission: To provide financial help to members of the congregation. Requests need to submitted in writing and given to the church office or the Ministry Head.
 

Assisted Living Bible Study

Ministry Heads: Joan Manion, Elsa Thompson
Mission: The Assisted Living Ministry provides weekly Bible studies for residents at three area facilities: Colonie Manor, Atria-Guilderland and Atria-Shaker. Its purpose is to gather together in the name of Jesus for worship, study, prayer and fellowship. Residents are encouraged to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus, receiving Him as Savior and Lord.
   

Christian Literature Ministry

Ministry Head: Emily Henk
Mission: To support the Lord's work through the written word. Tracts and daily devotional booklets are available without charge for personal use or to give someone to meet a particular need. Opportunities to serve the Lord through other ministries are described in a number of brochures. Materials are displayed in the church breezeway and in the lobby of the Community Life Center.
 

Horizons International

Ministry Heads: Chris & Diane Schleede
Mission: Our Savior's participates in this area of Christian outreach to international students at SUNY-Albany, RPI and Union College. Members of the congregation are urged to become friendship partners to international students and participate in Horizons International welcome dinners and activities.
   

Hospitality Committee

Ministry Head: (vacant)
Mission: The Hospitality Committee is the first contact point in making plans for food and receptions at the church (e.g. Lenten suppers, funeral luncheons, pastor's gatherings, suppers for new members and visitors). This committee will over-see the purchase of food, the set-up, serving, and clean-up for the function.
 

Local Outreach

Ministry Head: Pastor Paul Koehn (459-2248)
Mission: To stimulate and encourage each believer to think and act creatively to connect people to Jesus.
   

Ministry To The Persecuted Church

Ministry Head: David Gogolla (459-1153)
Mission: To facilitate awareness of ongoing and special needs of persecuted Christian brothers and sisters around the world. To provide and organize opportunities to help with those needs.

  • 9:50am in the Community Life Center with a Personal setting
  • 11:00am in the Sanctuary with a Contemporary setting
Sunday Evenings:
  • 6:00pm in the Community Life Center -  Senior High Youth
