Acolytes

Ministry Head: Rachel Gehr
Mission: To assist the pastors during the worship services by lighting and extinguishing the candles at the altar and by helping the communion servers during the celebration of the Eucharist. All confirmands (7th and 8th graders) serve as acolytes.

Mission: To enhance worship by preparing the Lord's Table for all services. This preparation is to be carried out reverently, lovingly, carefully, and willingly. This mission includes the cleaning and changing of the altar linens and paraments, preparing the elements for the Lord's Supper, and preparing the altar flowers for delivery to shut-ins after services.

Mission: To assist the Pastor in the second service liturgy. To lead the congregation into an understanding and experience of intimate worship by example, attitude and proper spiritual preparation. To support, love and encourage the congregation, inspiring them to release their hearts and voices in worship to the Lord. To provide an atmosphere in the services where the Holy Spirit can move unhindered whereby people can be drawn into intimate communion with Jesus and He can move or manifest His presence in any way He sees fit. To provide quality worship music for Sunday services as well as other church functions.
