Untangling Relationships

A Christian Perspective on Codependency

Why do you feel tangled in relationships in which you believe you must rescue and control others?

Why are you driven to be a “people pleaser” at the risk of damaging yourself emotionally?  What makes you unable to say no, prone to become absorbed in relationships or to withdraw, and easily manipulated into behaving in ways that will harm you and others?  Why do you seem to find yourself in relationships which lead to intense hurt, anger, guilt, and loneliness? Untangling Relationships: A Christian Perspective on Codependency helps you identify the painful effects of codependency, the compulsion to help everyone and fix everything.  This class will help you:

12-week course
Workbook required

  • Understand what causes a person to become codependent
  • Learn why codependency creates tangled relationships
  • Experience in a small group an atmosphere of trust, honesty, and unconditional love
  • Learn new ways of help and understanding for persons who live and work with codependents
  • Learn biblical guidance that shows codependents how they, with God’s help, can break free of their destructive patterns.
