Healing For Damaged Emotions

Recovering From Memories That Cause Our Pain

Today many Christians struggle with emotional pain that is deeply rooted in the past. This unresolved pain manifests itself in 'over extended' patterns of living. We OVER work, OVER eat, OVER commit, OVER spend, OVER spiritualize, and OVER obsess about love and sex. Christians are not exempt. We must face the reality of our pain-filled past if we are going to proceed through life in a healthy way. That is what this workshop is all about. It is designed to help you find your way back to a place of balance by giving you an opportunity to take an honest look at the painful experiences of your past that have left you emotionally scarred in the present.

No matter how damage you have been, you have the choice of opening yourself up to God's love and healing power through the Holy Spirit. As you write down your thoughts and feelings in response to the questions throughout the text, the Holy Spirit will gently bring the truth about your past to light and 'the truth will set you free.' (John 8:32)

Requirements: Pre-registration and the Healing for Damaged Emotions Workbook. This is a 12-week course. A firm commitment is needed. Thursday evening, 7:00-8:30. Child care is provided.
