FROM THE DIRECTOR’S CHAIR @ KINGDOM QUEST

“Keep watch over yourselves and over the whole flock
of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you overseers,
in which you tend the church of God that He acquired
with His own blood.”   Acts 20:28

Our Savior Lutheran Church adopted Kingdom Quest into their home of ministry to teach young children (ages 3yrs to 6th grade level) about Jesus.  By using puppets and drama, through storytelling, the children are invited each week to visit and experience the era in time of each Bible verse being presented that week.
Many people come together to make this happen.  Besides the children (whom are entrusted to our group of shepherds and performers), we have a very unique group of individuals that have worked hard for the past two years making Kingdom Quest a great success!  Just to mention a few:
There is a 17yr old young lady who didn’t want to come to church anymore, however, since she has performed in Kingdom Quest, she insists that her parents wake her on time each week so that she is not late for our show.  She attends service afterwards with her family.  She also insists on taking home prayer requests each week from our own personal “Kingdom Quest Prayer Box”, when asked about the prayer requests, she said, “It’s a huge thing for me because when I take a couple prayer requests home, with them on my mind they remind me to pray often for the people I care about.  Without them I am not sure I would remember as often to pray.”
One young lady, Beth Fijal has proven to be an expert at directing drama and effectively, with excellence, creates an opportunity for several teenagers to work together to create an artistic version of a selected bible verse, using Kingdom Quest materials.  Her gift is from God, but shines through Kingdom Quest.
Each week this director gets to watch as the beautiful miracle evolves each week when several teenagers and adults scurry around to practice and get organized.  Sometimes, when a key player is unable to attend, most would become upset, not us at Kingdom Quest… We have learned a valuable lesson when these things happen:

God is able to shine through the most unlikely sources when everything “planned by man” goes array!

There are so many others that are effected in a positive way at Kingdom Quest,  one teacher shared, “It inspires me so much to get into young kids minds, while teaching them about Jesus, and it brings me closer to Jesus also.  Kingdom Quest allows me to use hands on creativity, and I just love to watch the children embrace the puppets and interact with them each week!”  (Gwen Alexander, shepherd).
