Lives Of Great Christians

Friday, 09 July 2010 16:22 Last Updated on Friday, 09 July 2010 16:33
Summer SeriesBeginning July 11th and through August 22nd, from 9:45-10:45 in the sideroom (extra classes Wednesdays - see below), the lives of many outstanding historical "giants" of the Christian faith will be explored through the following DVD presentations. (Several of these have been substituted for ones that had been initially listed in last Sunday's bulletin.)
  • July 11: The Early Martyrs
  • July 18: The Desert Fathers and Mothers
  • July 25: Francis of Assisi
  • Aug. 1: Catherine of Siena
  • Aug. 8:Martin Luther
  • Aug. 15: From Slavery to Martin Luther King
  • Aug. 22: The Monks of Mount Athos
The ultimate question is "How have these historical lives and events impacted on the ongoing history of our Lord's Church here on earth AND how can they continue to impact into OUR ongoing daily Christian lives".

Also from 6:30-7:30 Pastor Paul will give those who could not attend Sunday's class on Lives of Great Christians", another opportunity to hear and learn about these great men and women of the faith. Class will be held in the Library.
