Curriculum Overview
At Our Savior’s Christian School, our curriculum reflects the total learning experience of each child within the school environment. Central to these experiences is the daily understanding of God’s love, grace, and forgiveness, along with meaningful opportunities for students to share that love with others. This Christ-centered foundation shapes not only what we teach, but how we teach—encouraging students to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
Religious instruction is woven throughout the school day and across all grade levels. Students study the Christian faith through Scripture, learning the historical and doctrinal truths of the Bible while also applying biblical principles to their attitudes, choices, and relationships. Opportunities for worship, prayer, service, and reflection help students develop a personal understanding of their faith and how it influences daily life.
In addition to biblical instruction, our academic program parallels the core curricular areas offered by public schools in New York State and often utilizes the same or similar high-quality textbooks and resources. This ensures that students receive a rigorous, well-rounded education while learning through a Christian worldview. All subjects are taught from the perspective that faith and learning are connected, helping students see God’s truth and purpose in every area of study.
We provide both cooperative and individualized learning opportunities designed to meet students where they are and challenge them to grow. Teachers intentionally support each learner, encouraging academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, and character development.
